Noroton Yacht Club (NYC)

Noroton Yacht Club, founded in 1928, is dedicated to promoting family participation in sailboat racing and recreational sailing. The Club is located in the Darien Harbor, just West of Long Neck Point, with easy access to Long Island Sound.

The Club has a rich heritage of one-design racing. Noroton's members are currently sailing J-24's, Sonars, Ensigns, and 2.4mR's. In addition the Club has a fleet of over 50 Cruising boats. Our boats participate in Club races as well as other local, regional, national and off-shore distance racing and cruising events. The Club has four Ideal 18's for the recreational use of all members.

Noroton also has a large, respected and well organized junior sailing program for ages from 8 to 18, member and non-member children sailing Optimists, Pixels, Blue Jays, Lasers and 420's. Noroton hosts the Darien High School Sailing Team in the Spring and Fall. Quoted from the Noroton Yacht Club website
